GoDaddy Hack: 6 other companies impacted including 123-reg, Host Europe and TsoHost

Today it has been reported that the recent GoDaddy hack also involves a number of additional hosting companies owned by the giant including 123-reg, Host Europe & TsoHost.

As we wrote about yesterday, US hosting giant GoDaddy was hacked in September, leaking customer details, logins, access passwords and SSL certificate keys for 1.2 million of their users.

Today, WordPress security company WordFence reported the hack also involves the following hosting companies, who are also GoDaddy resellers

Our advice yesterday remains the same – if you have hosting accounts with any of these providers please change your passwords as soon as possible.

These companies all form part of HEG (formerly known as Host Europe Group), which GoDaddy acquired in 2016.

As we mentioned yesterday, we have never used GoDaddy / HEG for hosting services, so our clients are not impacted by this data breach. We choose smaller providers sharing our focus on support.
