Weekly Roundup – 3rd February 2020

The opportunity came up this week to design a solution for real-time news, weather, traffic and train times to display on a reception-area 4K TV, giving the technical team something to get their teeth into.

This week we delivered a number of small development changes delivered for one of our oldest and largest support customers – we typically work on 2-3 development changes a week for their site.

We also completed a mobile website conversion for an online sales support tool for one of our agency customers – this should go live this week.  The new website for a  bespoke travel specialist also went live on Friday.

We sat down with one of larger customers to review contract requirements to take over the management for a number of sites and a bespoke pricing engine used by a number of external websites.  This would operate in a similar way to our agency agreements where we manage multiple sites and deliver changes from a centralised TimeBank for technical support

On Friday we met with a photography business looking to build 2-3 websites with us, including some API integration to online printing and order fulfilment services.

The team were very excited by the opportunity to create a microsite specifically designed to run on a 60″ 4K smart TV in the reception area of an office complex.  This would show building news and events, news, weather, local traffic and train time information.  After receiving requirements, we had designed a solution and supplied specifications and costings a day later – only possible because we understand that web technologies are THE most cost-effective way to develop a digital solution anywhere a business may need it.
