The Requirement
New website and ongoing care and support for Hampshire-based Tour Operator
Travallen Travel found itself in the nightmare scenario of being informed by their website provider they were ceasing trading in a few weeks and to make alternative arrangements for continued service provision.
Normally this would only need a routine website migration – but the website had been built using the provider’s in-house content management system. This meant that unlike an open system, such as WordPress, no website could be moved. All the content and assets were effectively lost.
Travallen Travel needed a new website and fast.

The Outcome
The new site surpassed expectations and rapid delivery avoided downtime
We quickly built a new WordPress site using the popular Divi theme, which allows for continual improvements. As a fully managed website, technical support time is included each month for changes and fixes.
Travallen Travel are regularly making changes to their day trips and short breaks schedules, so an easy way to manage these events was crucial.
We created custom data types to hold the key information for their events and templates to easily manage them.
Now into the third year of support, Travallen subscribes to our most popular management plan, Site Essentials, supplemented with a TimeBank for additional support.
A good example of why we do not like proprietary platforms at GorillaHub and the main reason we only create websites on WordPress – to allow the site, images and content to form a valuable digital asset that can freely move between providers. Craig Harffey, Technical Director
